Today is not a happy day. It is meant to be a somber one.
This day is not about celebration. Nor barbecues.
Nor is it about remembering family members and friends who have died.
Memorial Day is meant to remember the men and women who died in war for this country.
Anything less than taking a day to remember what they did for us is not right.
So today is a somber day. I will not ever take their sacrifices lightly.
