It was around 1:00 a.m. this morning the Adonai called me to pray about Hurricane Idalia.
Does He do this with you as well?
I learned long ago when I wake in the middle of the night, for whatever the reason, it's really (mainly) a call for 2 things:
1 To pray
2 To meditate on the Word of God (think about a Bible verse)
And how I know this is the case in this situation. Because I was up about three hours and got a total of four hours sleep. Yet, I do not feel as exhausted as I could. This shows that it was indeed a call to pray and the Lord is infusing me with His strength.
I share all this, not to pat myself on the back. No. That's not it at all. Nor is it for recognition at all.
Rather, I share this because it's a living illustration of what to do as a child of the Most High King.
When you wake in the middle of the night, for whatever reason, pray and meditate on the Word of God. You'll be blessed. I guarantee it.
