"A Love of Journaling" Collections: An explanation

Journaling Collections I am starting to write several collections, which will help me begin what I hope to build for us of everything we ever wanted to know about and do with journaling. Hence, I will add to this blog: -‬ Daily Collections -‬ Weekly Collections - Monthly Collections - Quarterly Collections - Twice-A-Year Collections - Yearly Collections I will add new (additional) material to each. The Sad Truth About Black Friday

Why is it on Black Friday, one of the biggest shopping days of the year, so many Christian non-fiction books, including Bibles and Christian Living are so expensive to buy? Shouldn't these books be as cheap as possible to get more people to read them? Scratching head. This just doesn't make sense and makes me sad.

The year 2021 (What a year!)

WHAT A YEAR What a year 2021 has been for me. I think with how little I have blogged that you can guess how it has gone for me. After all, you will see great gaps where nothing was shared. This is not like me. I am a journal keeper, but just haven't done much of that either, until rather recently. I am a writer, but nothing has stuck this year. I haven't wanted to continue to writing whatever I've tried. 2021 has been a hard, painful, busy, life-changing year. My dad died. It wasn't expected. My husband and I moved across country, again, to move into my dad's house. Moreover, we had that house fixed-up and I am now trying to sit down and figure out what I want to do with my journaling and writing as I take stock of how to proceed from here. 2021 has been a year of transition and changes. I am not sure if I want to look back on 2021 or if I just want to look forward. I guess time will tell. ANOTHER NEW BEGINNING This is the start of a new era in my Journal Keep

How do we face the challenges that life brings?

Greetings. How are you this day? How are you this day as we are in Week 3 of social distancing because of the Coronavirus (CoVID-19)? (How are you really?) *** Note: Before I continue, every question in this post is a question to answer in your journal and is a journaling prompt. *** I am going to begin this blog post with several questions for us to answer in our journals. So, please do so and be thorough. These questions are meant to get us to think. So, please, bear with me. Let’s face the truth. Life is full of challenge. It’s one of those facts of life. My Journaling and Blogging Plans for 2022 (??? Maybe ???)

How interesting. I just found this blog post: https://www.journalkeepersd.com/2021/01/a-love-of-journaling-collections.html I did that blog post in January 2021 and it looks like something I would like to try (aim for) in 2022. Now I need to take some time and think on this. This actually sounds like a really good plan. For my personal journaling. For my professional journaling. For journaling how-to and prompts to share with you. I think I might have a plan for 2022 after all. (Thank You, Lord!) We shall see. The fact is, I cannot promise anything yet. I am too emotionally wiped out and realize I need to have a period of self-reflection and recovery (rejuvenation) before I have much to offer anyone. I need to have, and do, some self-care and then try to share my journey with you and share tips on journaling with you. But the fact is that blog post has been a dream of mine since 2010 or so. So this is really resonating. Again, we shall see.

Slow and Mindfully Reading the Word and Zechariah 1

The last three days, I have dedicated myself to reading through Zechariah 1 very slowly and mindfully. I will talk more about this next week. However, I wanted to share that it is a game-changer. Being methodical and careful... making sure to catch every word... changes things. And it allows time for God to speak through the verse and chapter. Slowing down to fully think through and digest everything, prayerfully, is the key to getting more out of the Bible. This is so obvious that I seemed to miss this common sense approach. I am going so slowly through it, prayer journaling through it, that I am only at verse 4. Talk about a powerful way to go through the Bible and remember what you read. Try it. You will be surprised with how amazing this approach is when you read the very Word of God.

SLOWLY READING ONE CHAPTER AT A TIME THROUGH THE BIBLE

I have had something on my heart for years. I have wanted to slow down and take a long, slow look at the Bible and go through it one Book at a time, one chapter at a time. I have wanted to soak up the Word of God and savor every single word. I think the time has come. I am not talking about going through the Bible in a year, two, or even five. I am talking about going through the Bible one Book, one chapter, one section, one paragraph, one verse, one sentence, one clause, one at a time. Slowly. Even if it takes me the rest of my life. I want to do a slow soaker rather than a flash cooking. A slow soaker like when it rains and it seeps down deep into the roots. I want to get as much as I possibly can through the Word of God, and review it consistently so I can apply what I learn and remember. This is my objective. This is what I am starting. And I will start with the Book of Matthew.
